MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that members of this Chamber learned of the death of Margaret "Maggie" Tarara, nee Kennedy, on January 23, 2013, at the age of eighty-six; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of her passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Born on October 27, 1927, beloved wife of the late James Tarara; loving mother of Denise (Ivo) Cozzini and the late Gregory (the late Laura) DuMolin; dear grandmother of Allison, Mathew and Alexander; proud great-grandmother of Grace and Eleanor; cherished sister of Joseph (Susan) Kennedy, Geraldine (the late Richard) Cordani, the late Raymond (Helen) Kennedy and the late Edward) the late Pat) Kennedy; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews, and friend to all who knew her. Maggie leaves a legacy of faith, dignity and love; and
WHEREAS, Maggie was an active and vital member of her community who touched the lives of all who knew her through her kindness, generosity, and her spirit. She will be deeply missed, but the memory of her character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved her, now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this fifth day of March 2014, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Margaret "Maggie" Tarara and express to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
