WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called Vito "Tony" Caprio to his eternal reward; and
 
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman ofthe 13th Ward; and
 
WHEREAS, Vito "Tony" Caprio, 90, March 31, 2014, lifetime resident ofthe Southwest side of Chicago, West Elsdon neighborhood, beloved husband of Mary, nee Bohacek; dear brother of Salvatore Caprio and the late Concetta Holland, Josephine Sciurba and Joseph (Ruth) Caprio; fond brother in law of Beverly Bohacek; loving uncle of Dolores White, Patrick Holland, William Holland, Elaine Bridges, Celia Sciurba and Barbara Stark;, great uncle of many and close friend of Herminio Garcia. In the shoe business his entire life, specializing in orthopedic foot care, Tony was the founder and proud owner of Caprio's Shoes, which was in business at 63rd & Pulaski, from 1970 until 2014. Founding Board member of Richard J. Daley College, and also, an avid skater. Vito "Tony" Caprio leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore,
 
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this thirtieth day of April, 2014, hereby express our sorrow on the death of Vito "Tony" Caprio and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy.
 
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy be presented to the family of Vito "Tony" Caprio.
