MEMORIAL RESOLUTION FOR PATRICK HASTINGS
WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that the members of this Chamber learned of the death of Patrick Hastings at the age of 71; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman ofthe 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Patrick, a resident of Chicago and native of Westport, Co. Mayo, Ireland, was the beloved husband of Margaret "Ann" (nee Costello); loving father of Michael Anthony and step-father of Patrick Jones; dear brother of Michael, Martin, Maureen, Bridie, Evelyn, Marian and Ann; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews and treasured friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Patrick leaves a legacy of faith, dignity and love and
WHEREAS, Patrick touched the lives of all who knew him through his kindness, generosity and vivacious spirit. He will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, assembled this seventeenth day of January, 2018, do hereby extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of Patrick Hastings; and
