RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, After serving 27 years of outstanding and meritorious service to the residents of the City of Chicago, Lieutenant Angelo Rodriguez will retire from the Chicago Fire Department; and,
WHEREAS, In 1991, Angelo Rodriguez started his career with the Fire Prevention Bureau as a Fire Inspector until 1993; and,
WHEREAS, Serving as a firefighter from 1993 to 1998, Angelo Rodriguez was stationed at Engine Company 98; and.
WHEREAS, Shortly thereafter, Angelo Rodriguez was transferred to Engine Company 57, and served the Humboldt Park community from 1998 to 2005; and,
WHEREAS, Due to his dedication and commitment, Angelo Rodriguez was promoted to Lieutenant/EMT Supervisor over Inspectors in 2007; and,
WHEREAS, In 2015, Lieutenant Angelo Rodriguez started serving at Engine Company 43, where on Sunday, November 25, 2018 he will be retiring; and,
WHEREAS, Throughout his many years of service, Angelo Rodriguez has aided the people of the City with his compassion and dedication. He has earned the respect and admiration of those for his knowledge and personal attention, and he will be missed by his colleagues; and now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this twelfth day of December 2018 A.D., do hereby extend to Lieutenant Angelo Rodriguez our sincere and grateful appreciation for his for his outstanding record of personal and professional service as a member of the Chicago Fire Department; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared for presentation to Angelo Rodriguez.
