MEMORIAL RESOLUTION

WHEREAS.Angelina Kanagin, nee Pikuza, born on July 19,1934, was called by God to her eternal reward on June 8, 2011; and

WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Angelina Kanagin, was an active and vital member of her community. The beloved wife of the late Ivan; devoted mother of George V. (Constance) and Nikalay (Linda) Kanagin; dear grandmother of Evon (Todd) Bell, Alexander, Andrew, Louie, and Celena Kanagin; loving sister, aunt and dear friend of many; Angelina Kanagin leaves a legacy of faith, compasion, dignity and love; and

WHEREAS, Angelina Kanagin will be deeply missed, but the memory of her character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved her; now, therefore,

Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this sixth day of July 2011, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Angelina Kanagin and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and

Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Angelina Kanagin.
