MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
 
WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that members of this Chamber learned of the death of Phillip H. Tribble, Sr. on April 16, 2014, at the age of eight-three; and
 
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
 
WHEREAS, Born on September 28,1930, Phillip was the beloved husband of the late Constance, nee Simioni; loving father of Laura (Nestor) Velazquez, Phillip H., Jr. and Tina (William) Rooney; devoted grandfather of Anthony, Phillip J., Miles and Ryan; great-grandfather of Stephanie and Gabriel; fond brother-in-law of Mary Ann Simioni; dear uncle of many and treasured friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Phillip leaves a legacy of faith, dignity and love; and
 
WHEREAS, Phillip, who touched the lives of all who knew him through his kindness, generosity, heart and spirit, was an active and vital member of his community, serving in the military of the United States during World War II and the Korean War; and a member of the Iron Workers Union, Local 1 for over fifty years; and
 
WHEREAS, Phillip will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,
 
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this thirtieth day of April, 2014, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Phillip H. Tribble, Sr. and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
