RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, On Saturday, September 21, 2013, Zeller Realty Group will celebrate its 25th Anniversary with a Black Tie Gala; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this occasion by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, Founded in 1988, Zeller Realty Group is a small, boutique company that has prospered on the basis of the ingenuity and hard work of its experienced staff; and
WHEREAS, Over the course of twenty-five years, Zeller Realty Group has expanded to Indianapolis, Minneapolis and Denver, bringing excellent service to tenants and strong, solid returns to investors; and
WHEREAS, In 2011 Zeller Realty Group joined a consortium of investors to purchase Chicago's iconic Wrigley Building; and
WHEREAS, Zeller Realty Group led the Wrigley Building's acclaimed restoration to its pristine art deco glory, securing Landmark Status for the structure and upgrading systems, operations and safety to current standards; and
WHEREAS, Zeller Realty Group's Founder and Chairman, Paul M. Zeller, has supported grants and scholarships for talented high schoolers to pursue studies in visual arts, voice, cinematic arts, dance, design, jazz, music, photography, theater and writing; and
WHEREAS, Under Paul M. Zeller's leadership, Zeller Realty Group has sponsored bold art installations at selected locations that have actively engaged critics and the public in a dialogue; and
WHEREAS, In 2011 Paul M. Zeller funded Seward Johnson's 26-foot-tall sculpture, Forever Marilyn, that attracted attention from around the globe and generated intense interest in Chicago as a tourist destination; and
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this eleventh day of September 2013, do hereby commend Paul M. Zeller and Zeller Realty Group on a quarter century of success and investment in our great metropolis; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Zeller Realty Group.
