MEMORIAL RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, It was with great sadness that member of this chamber learned of the April 7, 2013 death of Roy Biondi, at the age of 83; and

WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman ofthe 39^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, The beloved husband ofthe late Beatrice "Bea", nee Zimmerman; beloved father of Larry Biondi; devoted brother of Reverend Lawrence Biondi, S.J. and Anna Marie (Ossi) Pierotti; fond uncle of Anita (Ed), Maria, Peter, Mary, Patty, John and Ed; great-uncle of Atina, Peter, Nicholas, Matteo, Gianna Mae and Luca, Roy Biondi leaves a legacy of faith, compassion, dignity and love; and

WHEREAS, An active and vital member of his community, Roy will be fondly remembered as a good friend and kind neighbor, serving as a Precinct Captain with the 39^th Ward Regular Democratic Organization; and

WHEREAS, Roy will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,

Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this eighth day of May 2013, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Roy Biondi and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
