City Council January 27th, 2021
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Leonard Zielinski has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 81 to his eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Leonard Zielinski Survived by his former wife, Barbara; loving father of Leonard (Joan), Karen (George) Beck, Laura (Bill) Sabbia and Robert (Rochelle); cherished grandfather of Robert Jr. (Elizabeth), Erica, Kaitlyn, Kelly and Kasey; dearest great grandfather of Joey, Henry and Jack; devoted son of the late Henry and Albina (nee Wanat); dear brother of Marianne (the late Bill) Washington, Fran (Elbin) Reyes and the late Henry Zielinski; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews; devoted friend of many; and
WHEREAS, Leonard enjoyed bowling, gardening and loved watching Chicago sports. He was a champion bean bag player. Leonard is dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Leonard to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this twenty seventh of January 2021, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Leonard Zielinski and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
