RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Molly Glynn has gone to her eternal reward at the age of 46; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, Molly Glynn was a highly accomplished Chicago theater actress and the loving wife of Joe Foust; and
WHEREAS, Molly Glynn was the much-adored mother of Chance and Declan to whom she imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that she possessed in abundance; and
WHEREAS, The youngest of five children, Molly Glynn was raised in a prominent family in Hartford, Connecticut and attended Tufts University; and
WHEREAS, Versatile and talented, Molly Glynn was a luminary within the theater community who excelled at both comedy and drama; and
WHEREAS, Known for her beauty, kindness and humor, Molly Glynn appeared on television in Chicago Fire, Boss and Early Edition, and acted in plays such as Middletown, Orange Flower Water, The Uneasy Chair, The Odd Couple and Maple and Vine; and
WHEREAS, A seemingly endless reservoir of talent, Molly Glynn graced the stages of the Steppenwolf, the Goodman, Chicago Shakespeare, 16th Street, Next and Famous Door and numerous other venues across Chicagoland; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Molly Glynn serve as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, Her love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Molly Glynn to her family members, friends and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and
WHEREAS, Molly Glynn will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her many relatives, friends and admirers; and
WHEREAS, To her beloved family, Molly Glynn imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this eighth day of October, 2014, do hereby commemorate Molly Glynn for her grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to her family; and
