RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Leo Thomas, came to Chicago as a young man and opened a television repair shop; and
WHEREAS, Leo Thomas, worked for the Ace Hardware Store on 75th & Dorchester in Greater Grand Crossing for over 30 years where he taught valuable skills to at-risk youth in home repairs, bicycle repairs, and life skills until his retirement; and
WHEREAS, Leo Thomas, was also engaged in the Madison Local School Council where he acted as Community Representative; and
WHEREAS, Leo Thomas, was a resident at the senior complex on 63rd & Minerva, where he was active in dealing with tenant/management issues; and
NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED that we, the Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, assembled this /y ^ay of Dgf.£/uf&/?/g k 2016, do hereby honor the community service of Leo Thomas, and extend our deepest sympathies on his passing, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that suitable copies of this resolution be presented to the family of Leo Thomas.
