RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Yau Pin Chan has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God to his eternal reward; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Patrick D Thompson, Alderman of the 11^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Yau Pin Chan; beloved husband of Shui Tai Chan", loving father of Hale Chan, Philip (Hilba) Chan, Mamie (Paul) Takagi and Lily (Way) Tow; cherished grandfather of Christopher, Daniel (Jaime), Michael, Scott, Brian, Steven and Gregory; and

WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Yau Pin Chan to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this twenty-third of January 2019, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Yau Pin Chan and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Yau Pin Chan.
