SALUTE TO DEACON CLARENCE BROWNLOW
WHEREAS, Deacon Clarence Brownlow, World War II veteran and outstanding member of the community, is being honored for his membership of over sixty three years to the Greater Bethlehem Healing Temple and Living Witness Organization; and
WHEREAS, Deacon Brownlow was born on June 25lh, 1918, recently celebrating his 95th birthday; and
WHEREAS, Deacon Brownlow answered the call to serve his country during World War II, where he was decorated with many awards and medals, including the European/African/Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, the American Defense Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, the Army Combat Infantry Badge, and the Bronze Star; and
WHEREAS, In 1949, Clarence Brownlow joined the Greater Bethlehem Healing Temple, and, over his sixty three year period as a member of this organization, has served the Greater Bethlehem Healing Temple and its congregation proudly; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED That we, the Mayor and members of the City of Chicago City Council, assembled here this 24th Day of July, 2013 AD, do hereby salute Deacon Clarence Brownlow for his service to our country and his many years of dedication to the Greater Bethlehem Healing Temple.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Deacon Clarence Brownlow.
