MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that members of this Chamber learned of the death of Theresa D. Spatz, nee Sheehan, on August 3, 2015, at the age of eighty-four; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39lh Ward; and
WHEREAS, Born on November 18, 1930, Theresa was the beloved wife of the late John F. Spatz; loving mother of Lori (the late John) Fogerty, Diane (George) Pehr, Rita (Tom Loader) Evans, Patty (Jerry) Marchione, Mary Kay (Dan) Romeo, John (Sue) Spatz, Terri (Tom) Clancy and Donna (Pat) Connolly; cherished grandmother of Michael (Jamie) Kurkowski, Richard (Elizabeth) Kurkowski, Bridget (John) Duckhorn, Caryn (Tim) Gernes, George Pehr, Matthew Evans, Maribeth Evans, Timothy Evans, Christine (Nick) Berner, Jerry (Tarryne) Marchione, Jr., Julie Marchione, Daniel (Natalie) Romeo, Richard Romeo, Laura Romeo, Carrie Spatz, John Spatz III, Laura Spatz, Jim Clancy, Jenna (Marty) McDonnell, Sarah Clancy, Mary Kay Clancy, Kevin Connolly, Jackie Connolly, Katie Connolly and Nicole Connolly; proud great grandmother of twenty; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews; dear sister of Patricia (Mike) Frantz; kind sister-in-law of Gerry Spatz, Grace Spatz, Veronic McCormick, Dolly Lawson and Patricia Cunningham; and treasured friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Theresa leaves a legacy of faith, dignity and love; and
WHEREAS, Theresa will be remembered for her smiling face, her wonderful sense of humor, her thoughtfulness and grace within her that could light up any room that she walked into, she was truly an angel on earth; and
WHEREAS, An active and vital member of her community, Theresa touched the lives of all who knew her through her kindness, her generosity, her heart and her spirit. She will be deeply missed, but the memory of her character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved her, now, therefore,
