CONGRATULATIONS EXTENDED TO KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS TONTI COUNCIL #1567 ON ONE-HUNDREDTH ANNIVERSARY.
WHEREAS, This year marks the one-hundredth anniversary of the Knights of Columbus Tonti Council #1567, located on Chicago's northwest side; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this special occasion by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman ofthe 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, The Knights of Columbus was formed to render mutual aid and assistance to sick, disabled and needy members and their families. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, ware relief and public relief works; and
WHEREAS, Year after year, the Knights of Columbus has earned the highest possible quality ratings for financial soundness from A.M. Best and Standard & Poor's; and
WHEREAS, The Knights of Columbus Tonti Council #1567, has been praised by popes, presidents and other world leaders, for support of the Church, programs of evangelization and Catholic education, civic involvement and aid to those in need; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and the members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this thirteenth day of April, 2011, do hereby congratulate the Knights of Columbus Tonti Council #1567 on its one-hundredth anniversary and extend our best wishes for continuing success; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Knights of Columbus Tonti Council #1567.
