RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Owen A. "Casey" Moran has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 89; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, A resident of Winnetka, Owen A. "Casey" Moran was a widely admired member of the business community and the loving husband for 56 years of Jean, nee Becker; and
WHEREAS, Owen A. "Casey" Moran was the much-adored father of Jeff, Brian, Linda and Janet and the grandfather of eight to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and
WHEREAS, Owen A. "Casey" Moran served his country as a naval aviator during World War II and was honorably discharged as a Lieutenant in 1946; and
WHEREAS, The son of a piping contractor, Owen A. "Casey" Moran was raised in Berwyn and graduated from Morton High School and Northwestern University; and
WHEREAS, Along with his father, Frank Edward, Owen A. "Casey" Moran established F.E. Moran, Inc., a full-service mechanical contractor, in 1957; and
WHEREAS, Owen A. "Casey" Moran operated the company for 44 years and oversaw major projects at New Trier West High School, Three First National Plaza, Chicago Title & Trust and NBC Tower; and
WHEREAS, Known for his positive outlook and ever-present enthusiasm, Owen A. "Casey" Moran also excelled as a leader in the travel business, lodging and bar and restaurant industries and numerous developments; and
WHEREAS, Owen A. "Casey" Moran was the President of the Western Trade Association and a member of the Mechanical Contractors Chicago Association, a Life Member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers and a Director of Charter Bank Group; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Owen A. "Casey" Moran serve as an example to all; and
