RESOLUTION HONORING JOHN PATRICK "PAT LANNON
ON HIS 50™ ANNIVERSARY OF CITY SERVICE WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF WATER MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, John Patrick "Pat" Lannon has worked faithfully for the Department of Water Management for 50 years; and
WHEREAS, Pat began his service to the City of Chicago on July 2,1963 and continues his work to this day at the 39th & Iron facility in the Water Distribution Division; and
WHEREAS, Pat was briefly called away from his city service to serve his country in the United States Army in the Vietnam War from 1965-67; and
WHEREAS, Pat attended Basic Training at Fort Knox (KY), Radio Technician Training at Fort Lewis (WA), and Combat Surveillance Training at Fort Huachuca (AZ) prior to deployment to Vietnam; and
WHEREAS, Pat returned to his service to the City of Chicago after deployment and settled in the Garfield Ridge neighborhood of the 23rd Ward where he has resided for over 40 years; and
WHEREAS, Pat married the love of his life, Marge on October 25,1969 at Epiphany Catholic Church; both attended the same elementary school, Epiphany Catholic School in the Little Village neighborhood where their lifelong friendship began; and
WHEREAS, Pat and Marge are the proud parents of four beautiful children: Michael, Brian, Aimee and Maureen; also the very proud grandparents of Evan and Patrick; and
WHEREAS, Pat continues his service to the City of Chicago in addition to his community through membership in the Holy Name Society at his home parish, St Joseph Church; and
WHEREAS, the Honorable Michael Zalewski Alderman of the 23rd Ward, has apprised this august body of Pat's significant milestone; now therefore,
