CONGRATULATING VANILLE PATISSERIE ON BEING AWARDED RETAILER OF

THE YEAR

WHEREAS, The Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce presents Annual Awards to recognize businesses that exemplify a strong business model and a commitment to supporting a vibrant Lincoln Park Community; and

WHEREAS, The Retailer of the Year Award honors a local business for outstanding achievements in the retail sales field; and

WHEREAS, Open to retailers of any size, this award recognizes strong customer service, steady or increased sales and support of Lincoln Park's reputation as a shopping destination; and

WHEREAS, The 2014-2015 Retailer of the Year Award recipient is Vanille Patisserie; and

WHEREAS, Vanille Patisserie has been preserving the art of French pastry since 2002, and opened its largest location in the fall of 2013 on Clark Street in Lincoln Park; and

WHEREAS, Vanille Patisserie creates luxurious pastries in a masterful blend of classic European traditions with modern flavor profiles and contemporary pallets; and

WHEREAS, The Honorable Michele Smith, Alderman of the 43rd Ward, has apprised this august body of the significant honor bestowed upon Vanille Patisserie; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council, gathered here this sixth day of May, 2015, do hereby congratulate Vanille Patisserie on being awarded Retailer of the Year and extend our very best wishes for continued success.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Vanille Patisserie.
