Resolution

Whereas, Francis Xavier Nguyen Van Nhon was born on January 7, 1936, and is celebrating his 80^th birthday; and

Whereas, Francis relocated to Chicago from Vietnam in 1995; and

Whereas, Francis has been a committed member of the St. Thomas of Canterbury Church and St. Henry Church; and

Whereas, Francis owns Vietnam Restaurant at 1032 W. Argyle St. and is an active member of Uptown's Argyle Business District in the 48^th Ward; and

Whereas, Francis is a dedicated husband, father of 14, grandfather of 27, and friend to many; and

Whereas, Francis has made a significant contribution to the community in the 48^th Ward.

Now, be It resolved, that the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, assembled this 14th day of December, 2016, do hereby honor Francis Xavier Nguyen Van Nhon for his contributions to the community and wish him a happy 80^th birthday.
