To the President and Members of the City Council:
Your Committee on License and Consumer Protection, having under consideration a substitute ordinance introduced by Alderman John Arena (which was referred on September 24, 2015), to amend the Municipal Code of Chicago lifting subsection 4-60-023 (45.3) to allow the issuance of additional packaged goods licenses on portion of North Milwaukee Avenue, begs leave to recommend that Your Honorable Body pass the substitute ordinance which is transmitted herewith as amended.
This recommendation was concurred in by a viva voce vote of the members of the committee on May 17, 2016.

SUBSTITUTE ORDINANCE
AMENDMENT OF TITLE 4, CHAPTER 60, SECTION 023 OF MUNICIPAL CODE OF CHICAGO BY DELETION OF SUBSECTION 45.3 TO REMOVE RESTRICTION ON ISSUANCE OF ADDITIONAL PACKAGE GOODS LICENCES ON PORTIONS OF NORTH MILWAUKEE AVENUE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:
SECTION 1. Section 4-60-023 of the Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by deleting the language struck through as follows:
4-60-023 Restrictions on additional licenses.
Subject to the provisions of subsection 4-60-021 (c), no additional package goods license shall be Issued for any premises located within the following areas:

(15.3) On North Milwaukee Avenue, from West Irving Park Road to West Berteau Avenue.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in force and effect upon passage and approval.
