A RESOLUTION
To honor Lynwood Stephens, a 7th ward resident, on turning 100 years old.
WHEREAS, Lynwood Stephens, born on November 15, 1914 in Hollow Springs, Mississippi, has been a 7th ward resident for several years;
WHEREAS, Ms. Stephens has remained an active member within the community, including her churchMetropolitan Apostolic Community Church located at 4100 S. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Chicago, IL 60653 under the leadership of Pastor Finley;
WHEREAS, Ms. Stephens was a seamstress here in Chicago; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Stephens has shown dedication, commitment and love to not only her family, but to the 7th ward community and her church;
BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Mayor and Members ofthe City Council of the City of Chicago, assembled this fifth day of November 2014, do hereby applaud Ms. Stephens for her years of service and dedication to the community and for turning 100 years old.
