SALUTE TO CHICAGO POLICE OFFICER GEORGE ALTMAN

WHEREAS, On April 15, 2013, Chicago Police Officer George Altaian, Star #18296, retired after 20 years of devoted service; and

WHEREAS, Officer Altaian has served with honor and distinction since December 7, 1992. The South Side community of Englewood's 7^th Police District was his culminating assignment; and

WHEREAS, As a member of the Chicago Police Department, Officer George Altaian has earned the gratitude and admiration of this city's citizenry; and

WHEREAS, The Honorable Toni Foulkes, Alderman of the 15^th Ward, has apprised this august body of the significant milestone achieved by Officer Altaian; now therefore

BE IT RESOLVED That we, the Mayor and members of the City of Chicago City Council, gathered here this 13^th Day of November, 2013 AD, do hereby salute Officer George Airman on a job well done and express our very best wishes for health, happiness and success in all he may endeavor to undertake in the future.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That a suitable copy of this resolution-be prepared and presented to retired Officer George Altaian.
