Memorial Resolution for Annie White
WHEREAS, Annie White was called to her final resting place on Saturday, July 2, 2016;
and
WHEREAS, This esteemed body has been notified of Annie White's death by the Honorable Alderman Emma Mitts of the 37th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Annie White was born on January 17, 1927 to the late Sallie and Joseph White in Columbus, Mississippi; and
WHEREAS, Annie had six brothers and two sisters: Four brothers preceded her in death: Henry White, William White, John White and Joseph White. Annie White's sister, Julia Webber, also passed away before Annie; and
WHEREAS, Annie White was married to her love, Robert Moody, who was called by the Lord before his wife; and
WHEREAS, Annie confessed hope in Christ at an early age and continued this relationship with the Lord throughout her life; and
WHEREAS, Ms. White was kind-hearted and always lending a hand to those in need;
and
WHEREAS, Annie White's son, Robert Moody, preceded her in death; and
WHEREAS, Mr. White leaves to cherish her memory: brothers Charlie White and Jessie White; sister Emma Gordon; sons, William Moody (Cora), Ernest Moody (Mary), Paul White (Emma), Maurice White and Jimmy White; daughters Emma Coleman (Wiley), Julia Tutson (Mark), Sandra Yates (Albert) and Renee Moody (Victor); 37 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces; nephews and friends; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this twentieth day of July, 2016, do hereby express our sorrow on the passing of Annie White and extend to her family our sincere condolences; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to the family of Annie White.
