MEMORIAL RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that members of this Chamber learned of the death of Florence Spatafora on August 18, 2013; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Born on July 27, 1924 Florence was the loving mother of Anthony V., Jr. and Helen; dear grandmother of Carol Humm-Spatafora, Janet Spatafora, Nicholas Rigali and Peter Rigali; cherished great-grandmother of three; and the fond aunt of loving nieces and nephews. Florence leaves a legacy of faith, compassion, dignity and love; and

WHEREAS, Florence will be deeply missed, but the memory of her character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved her; now, therefore,

Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this eleventh day of September 2013, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Florence Spatafora and express to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and

Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Florence Spatafora as a token of out honor, gratitude, and respect.
