MEMORIAL RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called Gene Law to his eternal reward; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman of the 13^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Gene Law served his country proudly in the United States Navy during World War II. He was the longtime owner of R.E. Instruments; and

WHEREAS, Gene Law, the beloved husband of the late Muareen "Moe"; devoted father of Rick (Moe), Sheri, Bob, Randy (Brenda); loving stepfather of Kathie (David) Bass, Cindy (Jim) McSweeney, Micki (David) Bohac and Chuck (Chris) Binelli, and the cherished grandfather and greatgrandfather of many, leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; and

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this eighth day of June, 2011, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Gene Law and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to the family of Gene Law.
