CONGRATULATIONS EXTENDED TO THE HONORABLE CHUL HUH, CONSUL GENERAL OF THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA ON COMPLETING HIS TENURE IN CHICAGO
 
 
WHEREAS, The Honorable Chul Huh, Consul General of the Republic of Korea has completed his tenure in Chicago; and
 
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this special occasion by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman ofthe 39th Ward; and
 
WHEREAS, The Honorable Consul General Chul Huh strived to enhance friendship and exchange between Korea and the Midwest for the past three years during which he met with esteemed colleagues of the Consular Corps, dedicated government officials and various civil servants; and
 
WHEREAS, The most important occasion during the Consul General's assignment was the successful visit of President Myung-bak to Chicago and Detroit in October 2011, immediately after the United States Senate and House passed Korea-US FTA with overwhelming votes, helping to make Korea's relations with the Midwest stronger and broader and
 
WHEREAS, The Honorable Chul Huh, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Chicago has worked tirelessly during his tenure in Chicago and will be returning with his wife to their native Korea; now, therefore;
 
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and the members of the City Council of Chicago gathered here this eleventh day of September 2013, do hereby congratulate the Honorable Chul Huh, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Chicago and extend our best wishes for continuing success; and
 
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Honorable Chul Huh, Consul General ofthe Republic of Korea in Chicago.
