A RESOLUTION
To honor Pastor Scott Onque, the Pastor of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church and the work that the church has done for the community.
WHEREAS, St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church ("church"), located at 7262 S. Coles Ave in the city of Chicago, has dedicated itself to education, evangelism, discipleship, outreach, and other beneficial activities to the South Shore community;
WHEREAS, Scott Onque has served as the Pastor of the 96-year-old historic Church for the past nine years;
WHEREAS, Under Onque's leadership, the church has grown spiritually and numerically;
WHEREAS, Onque also serves as the President ofthe Congress of Christian Education Department of the Salem Baptist District Association of Chicago and Vacinity while further volunteering his time in community efforts as an integral part of his ministry;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Mayor and Members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago, assembled this thirtieth day of April 2014, do hereby applaud Pastor Scott Onque for over 9 years of service to this outstanding Church.
