City Council January 15th, 2020
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Donna L. Quiles has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 79 to her eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Donna was a resident of the South Side of Chicago-Canary ville neighborhood for 49 years, as well as a Chocolatier at World's Finest Chocolate for 29 years; and
WHEREAS, Donna L. Quiles, nee Balosky, beloved wife of the late Jose Fermin Quiles, Sr.; devoted mother of Jose Fermin Quiles, Jr. (late Laura Finley Quiles), Elissa Quiles, and Maya Quiles; loving grandmother of Jose Fermin Quiles, III, Brandon Quiles, Hunter Quiles, the late Brittany Quiles and the late Cathrine Quiles; dear daughter of the late Walter J. and Elizabeth A. Picacarck Balosky; fond sister of Betty Ann Vallango, Francis Balosky, and preceded by many other brothers and sisters; and
WHEREAS, Her love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Donna to her family members, friends and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this fifteenth of January 2020, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Donna L. Quiles and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy ofthis resolution be presented to the family of Donna L. Quiles.
