MEMORIAL RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Danuta A. Gnat was called to her eternal reward on February 20, 2013, at the age of 84; and

WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman ofthe 39^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Danuta Gnat was an active and vital member of her community. The beloved wife of the late Jerzy; loving mother of Ewa (Wojtek) Dargiel and Ryszard (Janet); devoted grandmother of Sandy, Jessica and Terry; cherished great-grandmother of Lucas; loving sister of Maria Biernot, the late Alexander and the late Marek; dear friend of Stefan Ginilewicz, Danuta Gnat leave a legacy of faith, compassion, dignity and love; and

WHEREAS, Danuta Gnat will be deeply missed, but the memory of her character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved her; now, therefore,

Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this thirteenth day of March 2013, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Danuta Gnat and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and

Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Danuta A. Gnat.
