RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING NAASON JOAQUIN GARCIA DAY

WHEREAS, Naason Joaquin Garcia has been the impactful leader of the Light of the World Church; and

WHEREAS, This esteemed body has been informed of this man's accomplishments by the Honorable Ricardo Munoz, Alderman of the 22^,"^;, Ward; and

WHEREAS, Light of the World Church is located at 2614 S Keeler Ave in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Naason Joaquin Garcia, an Apostle of Jesus Christ, is minister of the Light of the World Church and has dedicated his life to doing the work of Jesus Christ; and

WHEREAS, Naason Joaquin Garcia has greatly expanded the ministries of the Light of the World Church, which now operates in 53 nations and has more than three thousand congregations; and

WHEREAS, Light of the World Church, under the leadership of Naason Joaquin Garcia, seeks to improve the lives of all its members through the teaching of Christ's ministry, education and has provided scholarships to many low-income students; and

WHEREAS, The Church of the Living God, Light of the World under the leadership of Naason Joaquin Garcia seeks to spread the word of Jesus Christ and to do his works throughout the world; now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this first day of November, 2016, do hereby proclaim December 14^tr: as Naason Joaquin Garcia Day as a testament to his contributions to the City of Chicago.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Naason Joaquin Garcia.
