RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Patrick Joseph Shannon has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, Patrick Joseph Shannon was a widely member of the legal community and the loving husband of the late Evelyn, nee Ryan; and
WHEREAS, Patrick Joseph Shannon was the much-adored father of Peter, Ellen, Patrick Jr., Michael, Kevin, Eileen and Erin, the grandfather of seventeen and the great-grandfather of seven to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and
WHEREAS, A native of Chicago, Patrick Joseph Shannon was the eldest son of the late Peter and Marian, nee Burke, and the dear brother of the later Peter Jr., the late Mary Ann, Donna, Dan, the late Sheilamae, the late Brian and Sue; and
WHEREAS, Known for his charismatic personality, infectious laugh and welcoming smile, Patrick Joseph Shannon always made everyone in his company feel at ease; and
WHEREAS, Patrick Joseph Shannon was a supporter of Misericordia Heart of Mercy and the Make-A-Wish Foundation; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Patrick Joseph Shannon serve as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Patrick Joseph Shannon to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and
WHEREAS, Patrick Joseph Shannon was an individual of great integrity and accomplishment who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many relatives, friends and admirers; and
WHEREAS, To his beloved family, Patrick Joseph Shannon imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
