MEMORIAL RESOLUTION FOR NICHOLAS JOHN ACHILLE
WHEREAS, It is with deep sadness that the members of this Chamber learned of the death of Nicholas John Achille on October 28th, 2018; and,
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and,
WHEREAS, Nicholas, born on December 30th, 1942, leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife Katherine nee Jedynak; loving children, Ann Marie and Nicholas (Marcy Maloney) Achille; prescious granddaughter, Molly; dear brother, Robert J. Achille, many cousins, and treasured friends he made throughout the journey of his life; and,
WHEREAS, Nicholas was a faithful and active servant of God, becoming a treasured parishioner and leader in the church communities to which he belonged over the course of his life, including: St. Ignatius, Notre Dame, and the Queen of All Saints parishes. He was well known for the warm welcome he provided to new members at the Queen of All Saints Church, for the support and comfort he gave to people who chose receive the Catholic baptismal rite in their adulthood, and for the generosity of his knowledge and experience to Chicago's Archdiocesan Pastoral Council; and,
WHEREAS, Nicholas' dedication and passion for his career in the field of accounting and finance earned him the reputation of someone who could be trusted to provide professional, ethical, experienced, gentle, and wise counsel to many clients and colleagues, alike; and,
WHEREAS, Nicholas, or Nick, as many called him, along with his loving wife, Katherine, created warm and gracious hospitality for family and friends and was known for his lively political conversations that engaged both people's minds and hearts; and,
WHEREAS, Nicholas clearly lived a full and generous life and will be deeply missed; now, therefore,
