RESOLUTION

 

WHEREAS, Mary M. Galvin has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of
81 to her eternal reward; and :

WHEREAS, the Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and

 

WHEREAS, Mary M. Galvin (Murphy); Beloved wife of the late James Galvin; loving mother of James (Janet) Galvin, Maureen (late Joseph) Henderson; Michael (Michelle) Galvin, Lori (Michael) Connolly, and Patrick (Donna) Galvin; cherished grandmother of Joey Jr., Kevin (Jessica), Erin (Steve), Dr. Jimmy III, Stephanie (Brian), Michael, Patrick Jr., Julie, Riley, Kathleen, Grace, and Allison and great-grandmother of Joey, Hailey, Kevin, Steven, and Jaxon; also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews. Cherished friend of many; and

 

WHEREAS, Mary was a lifelong resident of Chicago.Canaryville ncighborhood.Mary was a
Crossing Guard for the City of Chicago for over 40 years. She was immensely proud of her Irish
heritage. She was a member of St Gabriel Catholic Church and involved in the Women's Club
for many years. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family at the summer home in Michigan.
She enjoyed shopping, spending time with friends and an occasional trip to the casino. She was
deeply loved by all who knew her; and

WHEREAS, Her love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Mary to her family ' members, friends and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this twenty first of April 2021, do hereby express our sorrow on the, death of Mary M. Galvin and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mary M. Galvin.
