VSUBSTITUTE ORDINANCE

WHEREAS, the Annual Appropriation Ordinance for the year 2017 of the City of Chicago (the "City") contains estimates of revenues receivable as grants from agencies of the state and federal governments and public and private agencies; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8 of the Annual Appropriation Ordinance, the heads of various departments and agencies of the City have applied to agencies of the state and federal governments and public and private agencies for grants to the City for various purposes; and

WHEREAS, the City through its Department of Procurement Services has been awarded private grant funds in the amount of $50,000 by Living Cities which shall be used for the Accelerator's Procurement Program; and

WHEREAS, the City through its Department of Fleet and Facility Management has been awarded private grant funds in the amount of $2,320,000 by the Chicago Housing Authority which shall be used for the Chicago Bee Library Construction Project; and

WHEREAS, the City through its Department of Public Health ("Health")has been awarded additional federal grant funds in the amount of $1,471,000 by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ("CDC") which shall be used for the Bioterrorism Preparedness Response Planning Program; and

WHEREAS, the City through Health has been awarded federal grant funds in the amount of $17,000 by the Illinois Department of Public Health which shall be used for the Dating Matters Program; and

WHEREAS, the City through Health has been awarded additional federal grant funds in the amount of $973,000 by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development which shall be used for the Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS (HOPWA) Program; and

WHEREAS, the City through Health has been awarded additional federal grant funds in the amount of $129,000 by the CDC which shall be used for the Sexually Transmitted Disease Prevention Program; an...
