TRIBUTE TO DOMINIC MICHAEL SPENCER
WHEREAS, It was with great sadness that members of this chamber learned of the passing of four year old Dominic Michael Spencer on March 6, 2016; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, As a pre-school student at St. Hubert School, Dominic was known for his love of building Lego cars and airplanes and was a huge Disney fan. He enjoyed going to the park, playing in the sand and always showed off his cool t-shirts; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his brief life, Dominic was beloved for his sweet and honest nature. He touched the lives of many people through his kindness, his generosity, his heart, and his spirit; and
WHEREAS, His death leaves us all with a profound sense of loss and tragedy, especially his loving family, father Charles, mother Samantha (nee Slisz), twin sister Sofia, baby brother Anthony, grandparents Grandma and Grandpa Spencer and Nana and Papa Slisz, his "best" friend, Xena, and many devoted friends and neighbors. Despite our sorrow, we continue to preserve and glorify Dominic's life; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and the members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this sixteenth day of March, 2016, do hereby commemorate Dominic Michael Spencer and do hereby extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Dominic Michael Spencer as a token of our honor, gratitude and respect.
