WHEREAS, Margaret Hernia has faithfully volunteered as a yoga instructor for the Chicago Park District for 15 years; and;
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of her service devotion to others by The Honorable Mary O'Connor, Alderman of the 41st Ward; and
WHEREAS, Margaret has modeled successful aging by becoming a yoga instructor well into her own retirement; and;
WHEREAS, In the course of her volunteer service, Margaret has brought a joyful presence to students and staff while inspiring them, by example, to lead a purposeful life; and;
WHEREAS, Margaret has been a role model encouraging exercise and good health to several generations; and;
WHEREAS, Margaret helped to develop a volunteer based yoga program that will continue to enrich the Norwood Park Community; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council assembled this eighteenth day of March 2015, do hereby express our congratulations to Margaret Herula on her 15 years of service and wish her continued success; and
Be It Further Resolved, that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Margaret Herula as a token of our thanks and good wishes.
