A resolution
adopted BY The City Council of the City of Chicago, Illinois Presented by Alderman Emma Mitts on July 29. 2015
Whereas, God in His infinite Wisdom has called Amari Darnell Brown, most beloved child of God to his eternal reward, July 5, 2015;
WHEREAS, This august body has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Emma Mitts, Alderman ofthe 37th Ward; and
Whereas, Amari Darnell Brown born January 25, 2008 to the proud parents, Antonio and Amber.
Whereas, Amari completed first grade at Leif Erickson Public School and was doing well in school and becoming a professional singer was in his dreams. At the end of this school year, he made several cell phone calls to family members bragging that he had made it to the second grade.
Whereas, Amari attended church with his mom at Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist church and prayer meetings at his Grandma Aunt Cat's home, which led to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Whereas, Amari was energetic, inquisitive, joyful, a lover of Ninja Turtles, Spiderman, Sponge Bob, a dancer, loved donuts and candy.
Whereas, Amari heart was so big it had room for everyone he crossed paths with. His love is instilled in the hearts of many and his memory will live forever.
Whereas, he leaves to cherish those memories are his parents: Antonio Brown and Amber Hailey; two brothers: Keshawn and Kevon Thigpen; two sisters: Azaria Brown and Antiniyah Singleton; Grandparents: Lezie Brown, Edith Bankston, Robert Hailey, Veria Hailey, and Mary Rieves, affectionally known as Grandma;; Great-Grandparents: Henery Bankston, Ora Chandler(deceased), and Viola Brooks (deceased), Nate Brooks, LC.
