RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Lois Geraldine Kwak has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of eighty-seven; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and

WHEREAS, Lois Geraldine Kwak, nee Johnston, was the loving wife of former 12^th Ward Chicago Alderman George Kwak; and

WHEREAS, Lois Geraldine Kwak was the much-adored mother of Norman, Paul, Mark, John and Michelle and the grandmother of four to whom she imparted many of the fine and gracious qualities that she possessed in abundance; and

WHEREAS, Lois Geraldine Kwak was a faithful member of Five Holy Martyrs Church in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Lois Geraldine Kwak was a longtime and active supporter of the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America; and

WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Lois Geraldine Kwak serve as an example to all; and

WHEREAS, A woman of grace and charm, Lois Geraldine Kwak will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her many relatives, friends and admirers; and

WHEREAS, To her beloved family, Lois Geraldine Kwak imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this fifth day of March, 2014, do hereby commemorate Lois Geraldine Kwak for her grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to her family; and
