RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called John P. Mielnicki to his eternal reward; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman of the 13^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, John P. Mielnicki, beloved husband of Mary. Loving father of Linda and Mark (Meredith). Dear brother of Jean Koziol. Brother-in-law of Eugene Gniady. Also preceded in death by 14 siblings. Cherished grandfather "dziadzia" of Nathaniel and Evan. John is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Decorated veteran of US Army serving in Korea. Past commander American Legion Zientek #419. John P. Mielnicki leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this tenth day of September, 2014, hereby express our sorrow on the death of John P. Mielnicki and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy.
