RESOLUTION
 
 
WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called Robert La Francis to his eternal reward; and
 
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman of the 13th Ward; and
 
WHEREAS, Robert La Francis, 91, a longtime resident of Chicago's West Lawn neighborhood, died Feb. 6 at home. Mr. La Francis, a World War II Navy veteran, was a retired instructor for flight school. He was also a member of the Clearing American Legion Post 600. He was also an avid bowler who competed for the Midweek Breakers at Lawn Lanes Bowl. Survivors include his wife, Dolores (nee Weis); sons, Tom, Bob and Jim; and many nieces and nephews. Robert La Francis leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore,
 
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this eighteenth day of March, 2015, hereby express our sorrow on the death of Robert La Francis and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy.
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy be presented to the family of Robert La Francis.
