City Council February 19th, 2020
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Helen G. Moy "Tomatoes" has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God to her eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Helen was a CPS teacher for 35 years, President of the Chinese American Civic Council, member of the Chinese Benevolent Association and the CACC Girl Scouts; and
WHEREAS, Helen G. Moy "Tomatoes", Beloved daughter ofthe late Gim Sun and Kin Sui Moy; dear sister of Evelyn (Po) Woo, Rosemary (Peter) Chan, Nancy, Jimmy, and the late Raymond Moy; fond aunt of Joe (Kimberly) Woo, and Jeffrey Woo; and
WHEREAS, Her love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Helen to her family members, friends and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this nineteenth of February 2020, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Helen G. Moy and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy ofthis resolution be presented to the family of Helen G. Moy.
