City Council January 27th, 2021
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Estelle Vernetta Hoynes has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 59 to her eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Aldennan of the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Estelle Vernetta Hoynes; cherished mother of Jessica Hoynes and dear mother-in-law of Kevin Henderson; beloved life companion of Thomas Argy, along with his son, Nick Argy; devoted grandmother of Kevin and Jaxon; fond daughter ofthe late Raymond and Anna Rita Costello Hoynes; dear sister of Delia Hoynes, Walter (Audrey) Hoynes, late John Hoynes, late Thomas (Karen) Hoynes, Patrick (late Karen) Hoynes, late Raymond Hoynes, and William (Marlene) Hoynes; loving aunt and friend of many; and
WHEREAS, Estelle was a lifetime resident of the South Side of Chicago-Canaryville neighborhood; Estelle was a neighborhood mom and a second mom to countless people; and
WHEREAS, Her love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Estelle to her family members, friends and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this twenty seventh of January 2021, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Estelle Vernetta Hoynes and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
