CONGRATULATIONS TO STANLEY AND EWA CHWALA. OWNERS OF THE JOLLY INN RESTAURANT. ON THE OCCASION OF THEIR 30™ BUSINESS ANNIVERSARY
WHEREAS, Stanley and Ewa Chwala, each from neighboring villages in Lesser Poland, fell completely and hopelessly in love and were married in 1978; and,
WHEREAS, Stanley and Ewa Chwala, arrived in the United States on December 30,1982, finding work at Western Poultry, where the beautiful Ewa Chwala worked as a saleswoman and the ambitious Stanley Chwala worked six days a week, fifteen hours a day as a butcher; and,
WHEREAS, in 1984, Stanley and Ewa Chwala, together opened the Staropolska Restaurant at 5247 W. Belmont Avenue in Chicago, a small, friendly establishment for twenty-five persons; and,
WHEREAS, in 1989, Stanley and Ewa Chwala purchased the Jolly Inn Restaurant and Banquet Facility at 6501 W. Irving Park Road, a facility that today accommodates eight hundred patrons: and,
WHEREAS, Between 1989 and 1993, Stanley and Ewa Chwala, managed and operated both restaurants, employing, over one hundred individuals, and providing Chicagoans with excellent Polish Cuisine and the best in fine dining service; and,
WHEREAS, in 2005, Stanley and Ewa Chwala opened the Galos Caves, a unique and popular spa that provides a healthy and relaxing atmosphere for people from all over Chicago and the World; and,
WHEREAS, Stanley and Ewa Chwala have generously supported numerous charitable causes and organizations, most notably the construction of a beautiful new church in Strzelce Wielkie, Poland, "Our Lady of Strzelce," which was dedicated in 2005; and,
WHERAS, May, 2014, marks the Thirty Year Anniversary of Stanley and Ewa Chwala's dedicated and excellent work as restaurateurs in the great City of Chicago and the United States of America; now, therefore,
