AMEND LOADING ZONE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO
Section 1. That an ordinance passed by the City Council on March 6, 1996 page #17723 of the Journal of Proceedings which reads, E. Monroe Street from a point 55 feet east of S. Wabash Avenue to a point 114 feet east thereof in designated area, be and the same is hereby amended by striking there from, the following:
55 feet east of S. Wabash Avenue and inserting 88 feet east of S. State Street
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force hereinafter its passage and publication.

Re: Relocation of the Gray Line and Chicago Trolley stops from 55 E. Monroe Street
Dear Alderman Reilly:
The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) met with a member of your staff, representatives from the Park Monroe (55 E. Monroe Street) condominium building, and the Chicago and Gray Line Trolley companies on March 3, 2011 to discuss the relocation of the existing trolley stops at 55 E. Monroe Street.
Currently, both of these trolley companies utilize the existing CTA/Pace bus stop on the south side of Monroe Street, east of Wabash Avenue. The residents of Park Monroe have complained that buses and trolleys block the sidewalk in front of their building and make it difficult for residents to hail a taxicab. Additionally, these buses and trolleys block the lines of sight for residents who are exiting their parking garage. Thus, the Park Monroe residents have requested that the trolley stops be relocated to a new location.
