RESOLUTION

 

WHEREAS, Joseph J. Diaz has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God to his eternal reward; and

 

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman ofthe 11th Ward; and

 

WHEREAS, Joseph J. "BOO" Diaz, 50, July 15,2020, longtime resident of Buffalo Grove, IL, grew up in Hudson, IL, originally from the South Side of Chicago-Canaryville neighborhood, dearly beloved husband of Kim Bawulski Diaz; loving father of Alexis Handley; devoted son of Joseph and Victoria Burns Diaz; fond brother of Jorianne Diaz; dear nephew and cousin of many; friend to all.

 

WHEREAS, Joseph was a proud member of International Union of Operating Engineers-Local 399. Stationary Engineer at Chicago Public Schools for many years; and

 

WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Joseph to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this ninth of September 2020; do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Joseph J. Diaz and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy ofthis resolution be presented to the family of Joseph J. Diaz. ,
