RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Honorable J. Glenn Schneider has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 81; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, A longtime resident of Naperville, the Honorable J. Glenn Schneider was the loving husband of Kathy; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable J. Glenn Schneider was the much-adored father of Jill and John and the grandfather of three to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable J. Glenn Schneider began his teaching career in Aurora before joining the faculty of Naperville North High School; and
WHEREAS, During the mid-1970s, the Honorable J. Glenn Schneider taught classes in history and state and local government; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable J. Glenn Schneider retired as an educator in 1994 after 32 years of service; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable J. Glenn Schneider served from 1971 to 1983 as a member of the Illinois House of Representatives; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable J. Glenn Schneider served two terms in the Naperville City Council before completing his tenure in the early 1990s; and
WHEREAS, After leaving public service, the Honorable J. Glenn Schneider worked as a lobbyist for clients that included the City of Naperville; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of the Honorable J. Glenn Schneider serve as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared the Honorable J. Glenn Schneider to his family members,
friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and
WHEREAS, To his beloved family, the Honorable J. Glenn Schneider imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
