WHEREAS, On December 13, 2018, P.O. Rodney A. Kincaid, Star # 4106, will retire from the Chicago Police Department following twenty-seven years of dedicated public service; and ...
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this occasion by the Honorable Jason Ervin, Alderman of the 28th Ward; and
WHEREAS, P.O. Rodney A. Kincaid, will retire as a valued member of the 11th District;
and
WHEREAS, Dedication to and fulfillment of the motto of the Chicago Police Department - "We Serve and Protect" - exacts a substantial physical and emotional toll not only on the officers who must daily cope with the stress and danger of being life's arbitrator for countless citizens, but also on their family members; and
WHEREAS, Throughout a long and distinguished tenure, P.O. Rodney A. Kincaid upheld the finest traditions of the law enforcement community and through hard work, commitment and dedication to duty, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and the community; and
WHEREAS, P.O. Rodney A. Kincaid devoted twenty-seven years of public service to the people of the City of Chicago and in doing so has personally ensured that the City of Chicago is the safe, healthy and vibrant community it is today; and
WHEREAS, The leaders of this great City of Chicago are cognizant of the great debt owed our public servants, and extend our sincerest gratitude to the long and prolific career of P.O. Rodney A. Kincaid; now, therefore
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this thirty-first day of October, 2018, do hereby express our most heartfelt wishes for a pleasant retirement to P.O. Rodney A. Kincaid; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to P.O. Rodney A. Kincaid as a sign of our honor, gratitude, and respect.
