City Council January 27th, 2021
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Shirley M. Snyder, has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 71 to heir eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Shirley M. Snyder, beloved daughter of Robert B. and Laverne Coyle; Shirley is survived by two children: William L. Snyder III (Melissa) of Harrisburg, and Dawn Archer (Keith) of Park Ridge; Shirley has three grandchildren that she loved and adored: Kaleigh, Daniel, and Jack. She is also survived by her brothers: Robert B. Coyle Jr. and Edward Coyle; and
WHEREAS, Shirley enjoyed bowling, cooking, and baking and had a secret knack for growing the best home-grown tomatoes and was a legend for making the best deviled eggs; Shirley loved to crochet and made endless blankets for loved ones, on any given weekend, you would find her watching golf or football; and
WHEREAS, Shirley worked tirelessly to provide for her children and prior to her retirement, she worked for eighteen years at Best Foods; and
WHEREAS, Her love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Shirely to her family members, friends and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this twenty seventh of January 2021, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Shirley M. Snyder and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Shirley M. Snyder.
