RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called Jan Bania to his eternal reward; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman of the 13^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Jan Bania, age 81, January 8, 2016. Beloved husband of Emilia; loving father of Chris (Julie), Stanley (late Cynthia) and the late Richard; cherished grandfather of Randy (Jennifer), Michael, Dana (Patrick) Forbes, John, Stosh, Wendy, Ken (Kara), Richard, Nicholas, Evan and great grandfather of many; dear brother of Mieczyslaw, Elzbieta and the late Michal, Zofia and Irena; fond uncle of many. Jan Bania leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this tenth day of February, 2016, hereby express our sorrow on the death of Jan Bania and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy be presented to the family of Jan Bania. n
