RESOLUTION HONORING DUANE ELLIOTT PORTER ON THE OCCASION OF HIS ORDINATION

WHEREAS, On Sunday, April 12, 2015, many family members and friends throughout the community gathered at Compassion Baptist Church, to participate and celebrate the Ordination Service of Duane Elliot Porter, under the pastorate of Reverend Allen Foster, Jr., Senior Pastor; and

WHEREAS, In 2010, Duane E. Porter was inspired to plant a church in Chicago that would focus on caring for the oppressed, the abandoned, the helpless, and those in spiritual relational and physical need. Impact Life Church led by Duane and Sauda Porter is one of the Lord's .chosen vessels of spiritual guidance; and

WHEREAS, -Duane Elliott Porter served as the Discipleship Pastor and Evangelism Director at Compassion Baptist Church on Chicago's south side under the leadership of Pastor Austin Smith Jr.; and

WHEREAS, Duane Elliott Porter is currently finishing his Masters in Urban Ministry at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School ; and

WHEREAS, Duane Elliot Porter will be energetically devoting his efforts to assisting his faithful followers by providing them with the strength and guidance they need to chart their own lives and realize their full potential. Under his wing, thousands of children and adults will be inspired to overcome difficult circumstances and embarked on journeys leading to more fulfilling, happier lives; and

WHEREAS, Duane Elliott Porter will have a tremendous and positive impact upon the community and his is pastoral ministry will be a dynamic extension of his public service career and of his commitment to the needs of humanity; and

WHEREAS, Duane Elliot Porter is a much-adored husband, father, community and spiritual leader of great integrity and accomplishment who is exceedingly worthy of our admiration and esteem; and
